Helpful Hints
A few valuable lessons I have learned over the years of having Christmas Inflatables in my yard
- Make sure you secure them with the rope and pegs so they stay upright in the wind
- If you live where it snows, make sure the snow is cleared off before you inflate them, as the weight of the snow can damage the fan motor.
- If you use a timer with a light sensor, which turns the inflatables on when it gets dark, keep the sensor away from porch lights, as when you turn on the porch light, your sensor will think it is daytime and your Christmas decorations will turn off
Accessories
There are a few must haves to help in the installation of your outdoor inflatables. You will need extension cords and timers if you choose. Timers make sure your lights come on every night and you don’t have to venture out in the cold to plug everything in. Here are some links to these accessories on Amazon.

How to Setup your Christmas Inflatables
Setting up Christmas Inflatables is very simple. The most important thing to consider is positioning the inflatables in a way that keeps their power cords close together to minimize the number of extension cords you will need. You also need to consider the number of inflatables you will be connecting to the same extension cord based on the number of outlets it has. So you simply set up the inflatables, make sure they are secured to the lawn with the provided ropes and spikes, plug them into the extension cords, run the cords to your power outlets, connect the timer if you want, and plug it in. You may want to reposition the inflatables to make sure they look the way you want, but that is it! It is easier to do this at night, as you will see the full effect better.
The timer usually has 2 options, time based and light based. For time based, it will keep your lights on for the given number of hours. So if you set it for 4 hours, it will keep the lights on for 4 hours after you plug them in, then turn them off for the next 20 hours. The issues with this setting is if you unplug the timer, the hours will reset, and as the days get shorter, you will want the lights to come on earlier. The second option is light based, which turns the lights on when it gets dark and keeps them on for a given length of time. This is the simplest to operate, so make sure your timer has this option when you buy it. The one issue I have had, it if your outlet is near a porch light or other outdoor light, the sensor may think it is daytime when that light turns on, and turn your lights off. Placing your timer away from these lights will eliminate this problem.
